“From today, it is permissible in the State of Israel to boycott dairy farms, food chains… airlines that fly on the Sabbath, delicatessens that sell pork, Arabs who want to rent flats — only not the settlements. The Knesset disguised itself yesterday as the Yesha settler council and approved the Boycott Banning Law, another law from a long list of undemocratic, racist and anti-Arab laws that have become the symbol of the 18th Knesset and Netanyahu’s government.”

On the 63rd Israeli Independence Day, Israelis defy the ban on mourning
Israel’s Independence Day is in a few days. Its also the commemoration of the Nakba for Palestinians. This video was taken in 2007 as Zionist youth march through the Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem on their way to the Temple Mount on Israel’s independence day. Why they were allowed to march through the Muslim Quarter with the army rather than go around and enter through the Jewish Quarter is beyond my unerstanding… it was a completely provocative action that also disrupts life for Palestinians living in the old city… this wasnt a peaceful march… it was in my opinion a racist declaration Zionists meant to let the Palestinians who live in the old city of Jerusalem know that they are not welcome in Israel’s “eternal undivided capitol”. I stood by a Palestinian family with a chld that were not allowed to get to their home. Whether the racist youth throw a bottle at me or the Palestinian family I am standing next to… i dont know… the soldiers do nothing…
